Turkey at CEBIT

This year CeBIT (World Business Fair for Office Automation, Information Technology, Telecommunications), which is the most important fair for the information and telecommunication industries, is once again going to be the place where latest innovations are announced to the world.

National participation of Turkey to the fair which will take place on March 9-15 is organized for the 10th time by IMMIB (Istanbul Electrical, Electronics and Machinery Products Exporters' Association). 

Istanbul Electrical, Electronics and Machinery Products Exporters' Association, will attend the fair with 22 member companies in total of 405sqm. stand area this year.

Electrical-Electronics and Machinery Industry is considered as one of the major sectors of the country, as it is the source of information technology used by the developed nations to ensure competitive advantage. The industry having the largest number of employees among the other industries, reached a market volume of one trillion US$ in the 21st century. This sector is now the fundamental industry because it is improving all the other industries. Today, while our trade strategies are being planned, Electrical-Electronics and Machinery Industry comes first among target industries that will make our country competitive in international market. Making advanced technology production and increasing its share in world trade, this industry, also has an increasing share in our production and exports.

IMMIB's stand will be at software hall (Hall 6) in CeBIT 2006 in which products in the areas like IT, network systems, software telecommunication will be exposed. IMMIB will undertake renting of stand area, building & decoration, transportation & customs procedures of the products to be exposed and promotion for its member companies.
